The HPS Basketball Club was established in 2017 and seeks to provide students in Years 4-6 at Harrisdale Primary School with the opportunity to develop their skills in basketball, while also emphasising the core values of community, teamwork and healthy lifestyle choices. 

When: Trainings for the basketball club are held on Tuesdays from 3-4pm at the Harrisdale Senior High School Gymnasium. Representative teams compete in the Friday night junior basketball competition at the Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre (ARC), as well as participating in inter school tournaments throughout the year. 

Who: Year 4 – 6 students 

Membership: Given court restrictions, trials are held in Term One of each school year to select participants for the club for that year.

Costs: Aside from the costs associated with participating in the inter school competitions and/or the competition at the Cockburn ARC, there are no weekly costs involved. 

Co-orindators: Mitch Bradbury, Luke Walton and Darren St Quintin. Community/ parent helpers also support in managing the teams.
